MPI Standard: The Message Passing Interface (MPI) Standard is the
standard which this debugger is based.
- MPICH (MPI Chameleon)
is the Argonne National Laboratory's implementation of MPI and the implementation this debugger is made for (so far).
Totalview is a commercial product that also debugs MPICH programs, and is
much prettier. But it's also not free.
- GDB: The GNU Debugger
is the backend for pgdb (hence the name--we'll see how long I can keep it
once this pgdb is advertized anywhere more visible than sourceforge).
There is a planned gdb library interface, which sounds fantastic--only, I'd
probably have to rewrite most of my codebase. Oh well.
- HPDF Standard: The
High Performance Debugger Forum Standard for parallel debuggers. This
is a listing of commands and functionality that should be in a parallel
debugger. Pgdb conforms (mostly) to this standard.
